    Time for PostgreSQL?

It has been time for PostgreSQL the last couple of years. Since at least 7.3 or 7.4 I’ve been using PostgreSQL and it has been superior to MySQL in all aspects.

Please, people. For sane folks, the MySQL/PostgreSQL bashing stopped years ago.

If you’re so happy with PostgreSQL why do you even bother reading (much less commenting) a blog that focuses on MySQL?

@ Carsten: As the blog owner/writer, you probably know that your content is aggregated to other places than Planet MySQL - e.g. Planet So people might not read this from a planet/feed with a MySQL focus. Just a wee reminder. :) (I didn’t even know your blog focused on MySQL when I clicked through from Planet, for one.)

@Freso: Whether or not my blog is aggregated is immaterial to the fact that the continued MySQL/PostgreSQL bashing by some people is infantile.

As for the focus: Have a look at the header of this blog. It says “MySQL” in no less than four places…
