The price of exam is too expensive as an IT certification. As i konwn, the fee to attain MySQL DBA certification has increased to USD400 from USD100 last year. USD400 means one month’s salary of a person graduated from university. We can not bear its long price. To compare with the price of PHP, which has the simlar status in the LAMP to MySQL, the fee to attain PCTP certification authorized by Zend is only USD100. I feel that MySQL decided to give up the market of china and abandon all the chinese who has supported MySQL for many years. Is that right?

Can you convey my comments to MySQL?

Michelle — I was asked to raise our rates in China because the price was perceived as reflecting an inferior certification. Please check with our partners as they do offer specials from time to time on the exam vouchers.
